Who we are
Nakuru Dental Centre is a dental clinic located at Giddo Plaza, Harvester Road, Nakuru, Kenya. This page explains what personal and medical information we collect from patients, why we collect it, and how we protect it, in accordance with Kenya's Data Protection Act, 2019.

- Medical and dental history, complaints, treatment notes, and photos/X-rays relevant to your care
- Payment and billing information related to treatment
Why we collect it
- To register you as a patient and maintain accurate treatment records
- To provide safe, appropriate dental care and follow-up
- To contact you about appointments, queue status, and treatment updates - including via WhatsApp and SMS
- To process billing and insurance claims where applicable
- To meet our legal and regulatory obligations as a healthcare provider
How we protect it
Your records are kept in secure systems accessible only to authorised clinic staff involved in your care. We do not sell your personal information. We do not share your information with third parties except where necessary for your treatment (e.g. referring you to a specialist), where required by law, or with your explicit consent (e.g. sharing X-rays with an insurer on your instruction).
WhatsApp & SMS communication
If you register or communicate with us via WhatsApp, our clinic assistant may message you regarding appointments, registration, queue updates, and treatment follow-ups. You can ask to stop receiving non-essential messages at any time.
Your rights
Under the Data Protection Act, 2019, you have the right to access the personal data we hold about you, request corrections, and (subject to our legal obligation to retain medical records) request deletion. To exercise these rights, contact us using the details below.
Data retention
We retain patient medical records for as long as required by applicable healthcare recordkeeping regulations in Kenya, and thereafter only as needed for legitimate clinic purposes.
